I'm not derailing the thread. The thread is about beautifulpeople.com and more or less about whether it is "right" to focus on looks so much. I say that it is, most in this thread say that it isn't. That is what the discussion seems to be.

I mostly disagree with what you're saying here and not being attractive WILL stop you from sleeping with hot women. Give me any example of a guy who is not attractive and can consistently sleep with (sober!*) hot women to prove the opposite. Not a PUA scammer, a real person. Also not Mark because no matter how often he repeats he is not that good looking according to the picture on his site he has a nice symmetric face which is what matters).

Why bother talking about it? Because it's a step on the way of internalizing the fact that I can't influence my chances with an individual woman in any way which leads to healthy beliefs such as:
1) Rejection/acceptance is predetermined in each case and thus isn't personal (unless you behave excessively strange which I don't or I'd know)
2) The only thing that influence my chance of eventual success is the amount of chances I take/opportunities I create
3) There is no point in trying to "work on myself" in order to make me more attractive to women. I shouldn't waste time on such a goal, but rather invest it in things that make me happy, regardless of whether that would classify as "attractive behaviour" (as long as I still create the opportunities to meet girls).

*Alcohol is like a legal and socially accepted date-rape drug imo. Some girls will sleep with literally anybody when they are intoxicated so if you happen to know some unattractive guy who specializes in drunk girls that doesn't count (unless he sleeps with them again when they are sober).
