RE: The Official Lifestyle Goals 2012 Thread
Update:

It's amazing how fast life changes. I'm now in NYC working in Manhattan for a nonprofit developing web campaigns for them. For the first time in my life I have a salary, and a decent one at that. I'm not going to be isolated in Alaska now so my goals have changed....

New goals for the 2nd half of 2012:

1) Improve my social, dating, and sex life (begin by August 3rd).

To be more specific: have at least 2 dates each week (with different girls) and go out at least 2 nights a week to sharpen social skills and meet new women.

One advantage of NYC is there are so many beautiful woman here. Like my god, so many! In the subway, walking to work, cafes, bars, just walking down the street from my apartment. I literally can't walk more than 15 minutes without seeing 5-10 girls I'd love to meet (going off just physical appearance of course). Going from Alaska to this is insane. Like night and day in terms of girls, culture, and lifestyle.

Strategy:
  • Read Models again to refresh.
  • Go through Mark's online programs one by one.
  • Possibly get longer term personal coaching (I'm deaf so my situation is a bit unique) now that I can afford it.
  • Go out at least twice weekly purely to socialize and meet women. Also try out the online dating sites.

I have an August 3rd date to begin by because I'm so busy now getting setup at the new apartment, learning the new development tools for work, etc, and want a definite timeline when the excuses must die by.

2) Continue building my web development skills. (Take HTML/CSS/SASS/WordPress/Drupal/PHP/jQuery abilities to next level).

Strategy:

Use my free time outside work, gym, dating, and ASL socials to play around continuously with new coding/markup.

3) Get into the best shape of my life (same goal as before).

Strategy:
  • Join gym across the street (a getto ass gym, but has all the hardcore weights and equipment I desire, and it's cheap for the area).
  • Lift weights 3-5 times a week in the morning before work.
  • Eat a healthy clean diet (I'll do most of my own cooking, even though there's like 20,000 restaurants near me).

4) Become conversational at ASL (American Sign Language).

Strategy:

Go to the ASL Socials at least once a week (aim for twice weekly). Make friends with other deaf or ASL interested people and hang out with them to develop conversational skills.

Sub-goals: (background goals)

1) Pay off part of my student loan debt. This was my #1 goal before everything changed, but now I'm going to go a little slower so I can enjoy life in NYC. Goal is to pay off $500/m now.

2) Meditate and journal at least weekly. Aim for everyday meditation.
