What's your experience with picking up girls and wearing glasses?

I usually wear glasses, because I don't like the feeling and hassle of contact lenses. Even though I have designer glasses and would say they look very good and sportish-masculine, I have far more success with girls when I don't wear glasses. Also, it's definitely not a placebo effect that that happens. I guess glasses just make you look geeky and project certain stereotypes.

My guess is the difference is you. You change when you wear the glasses and end up having less success. Glasses can be sexy...

I've worn glasses since roughly 4th grade. I've had success picking up girls while wearing my glasses. I'm pretty goddamn blind and have some pretty thick lenses almost no matter what style I get, so I've pretty much just owned up to it and embraced my inner hipster and gone with the thick frames to boot (currently rocking my best Buddy Holly/Jarvis Cocker horned rim frames, I might go more Malcolm X browline frames next time instead). Some girls dig them and ask to try them on, at this point I can't imagine not wearing glasses regularly. Making sure your glasses actually fit your face and your style is huge, cause you're right, they do project certain stereotypes. Stephen Colbert rocks the rimless glasses real well, but besides the fact that my prescription is too high for them, I don't think the rimless has ever jived with my style or face when I've tried them on.

I do notice that I get different reactions with and without my glasses. Half my friends (who I know through sports, when I'm usually wearing contacts) rarely see me with glasses, and half my friends (who I know through music) rarely see me without them. Anytime I show up wearing the opposite, it's like Clark Kent/Superman.

I do not wear glasses but am I the only one that gives girls points for wearing glasses in a bar or nightclub? Well, if the glasses suit her and she dresses well and looks available
I assume that she could be wearing lenses but choose to go with glasses.

I love girls in glasses. I'm determined to have kids that are blind as a bat (and can play in the NBA).

Got some no-correction glasses as a gag a while back while shopping with a gf. Did actually ear them i think twice , once on halloween though. Didn't notice any difference. Though... don't glasses get in the way of making out? I've just realised i've never dated a girl that used eyeglasses, ever. Oh yes, one but only to read and drive, and that was a long time ago.
