The No-More-Porn Thread - Mark - 12-12-2011 11:45 PM I have to say, my sex drive in general has dropped the last few days. I wasn't abstaining from masturbating, but I've pretty much lost all interest in masturbating and don't have a whole lot of interest in sex. I have been ridiculously productive though. Not just no more porn from now on; no more masturbation or fantasising either. I wasn't abstaining from masturbating, but I've pretty much lost all interest in masturbating and don't have a whole lot of interest in sex. The productivity is amazing! To give you an example. I was complaining about my insomnia, so this could mean that I would sleep 3 hours one night. The next day I decided to go to bed early but I always woke up at 1 a.m. or so after 4 hours of sleep. Yesterday I did the same, I went to bed at 11 p.m. and today I woke up at 5:00 a.m. , I'm not feeling particurarily tired. It might be handy to tackle an early riser habbit as well, since my exams are coming closer. The sex drive thing is something that a lot of men notice. They say that when on porn they wanted to fuck everything, now they see beauty everywhere and get turned on more easily but nothing like the "oh I have porn fantasies when I look at you". You should read some reboot journals from men who have gone 60 days or 90 days or more without porn, orgasm. Very interesting. A lot of older men have also done this and report being more easily turned on then when they were 20, interesting isn't it? Tim Wrote:Ok, now that's got my attention. I have been looking for a productivity boost lately. Not just no more porn from now on; no more masturbation or fantasising either. Halo Effect Wrote:For me, not masturbating has a big effect too. Possibly bigger than no porn, but I can't be sure about that (I usually do both at the same time or none). I'm curious, I've gone 30 days without porn and I want to go this week without masturbating. They say that this makes the reboot process more efficient. I'm still experiencing flatliness which also means "no morning wood", damm.. I really panicked for like a week when I first encountered this. It really showed me how much we as men define ourselves with our sex drives, ambition, status.. Well at least for me that is. The No-More-Porn Thread - Halo Effect - 12-13-2011 12:15 PM I just spent the better part of the last hour jerking off to Youtube videos of Brazilian butts and teenage girls dancing. Yep. No orgasm though, and no porn. But time to install a porn blocker.. Yep. No orgasm though, and no porn. jerking off without orgasming is appearently even worse, due to the fact that the dopamine remains in your system (something like that). Anyways K9 is a free internet blocker and net nanny has a 14 day free trial period. Enjoy

I let KeePass create a random password, so I don't know the password for K9, but I can get it if I log into KeePass, which is a bit of a hassle because I gave that a super long password. Hope this will do for now. The No-More-Porn Thread - crazyhorse - 12-13-2011 01:41 PM Halo Effect Wrote:Pff I didn't want to hear that! But I only saw mild stuff. K9 is also quite agressive for some websites, but you can customize it to you're needs. take care! The No-More-Porn Thread - Mark - 12-13-2011 04:29 PM Yeah, I got a girl coming over tonight (same one from last week). She's hot. And good in bed. And I have little to no interest. Honestly, I'd rather stay up late and work on my websites, lol. I don't even remember the last time I masturbated. Like 3-4 days ago I think. This is definitely starting to have some effect. This week is going to be the week without masturbation as well, they say it speeds things up. I'm really curious, but I'm sorta feeling that I'm leaving the flatline phase. Thank god!!!! The No-More-Porn Thread - Edmond Dantès - 12-13-2011 05:32 PM @Mark: Sounds like a luxus problem to me ![]() Failed yesterday with no masturbation (though I didn't use any pictures, phantasies, videos) and am feeling pretty bad about it, because I didn't make it. I failed now two times to reach Day 8 without masturbation. :/ Without porn am I more productive most of the time, but on some days, like today, I don't get anything done and that's just f***ing annoying... It isn't procrastination that blocks me, it's concentration problems, mood swings and a lack of motivation concerning my studies. This really sucks. Hope it gets better tomorrow. I guess it's now day 14 without watching Porn or sexual explicit pictures. Any helping words? The No-More-Porn Thread - Halo Effect - 12-13-2011 05:48 PM Yes. Don't be too hard on yourself. I do this to myself all the time as well. But think about it. You probably masturbated frequently for many years leading up to this, and now you didn't do it for a whole week. That's a great achievement. You didn't "fail" anything, really. You have your whole life ahead of you, and you drastically cut down on masturbation already. What you did was a great step forward, not a failure. This goes for me as well, although it's way easier to give advice to others than to yourself. I watched some pictures and videos today with hot women and I felt bad about it. But that's all I've watched in like 16 days, and I just installed a porn blocker which will make things even easier. I've done great with this PMO challenge. The fact that watching some mildly erotic videos could even classify as a failure is proof of that. So you're doing great Halo Effect, thumbs up.
The No-More-Porn Thread - Alvar - 12-13-2011 06:05 PM It's ok to fail. Really. I'm coming to the conclusion that the more I accept my failure - without using it as an excuse to give up - the easier time I have keeping myself in track. Been without porn for over a month and as much time without masturbating. Last time I had sex was almost 4 weeks ago, gosh, I feel like climbing up the walls. The No-More-Porn Thread - crazyhorse - 12-13-2011 06:16 PM Edmond Dantès Wrote:@Mark: Sounds like a luxus problem to me hey man don't be harsh on yourself. Think about, normally you do it for days and now you didn't do it for like a week. Next time go for 1,5 week. See where I'm going with this? You can only stretch when you're at you're limits and your limit was 14 days. That's already quite good. Just learn from it and install the porn blocker. Also educate yourself on the withdrawal symtomps that helps A LOT! And read reboot stories http://yourbrainonporn.com/age-17-took-135-days-recover-ed There are far more on that website though. Alvar Wrote:It's ok to fail. Really. Personally it's the definition of failure that annoys me. I think that we humans tend to overestimate how much we can do in a short time. Let's say you've been watching porn 2 times day you're entire life, and now you go one week without it. That's already a HUGE step forward. Sometimes I think that the only real and lasting change is change that comes in small incremental steps. Steps that are challenging but doable, like lifting weights. Ever seen a bunch of newbies only trying to lift as much as they can and 2 months later they are still at the same level? The No-More-Porn Thread - Brian - 12-13-2011 06:38 PM crazyhorse Wrote:lol 2-3 times a week that's nothing Had a girl came over 2 days ago. Had fun and the next day, i got beyond uber horny so i jerk off some more LOL. Funny thing how sexual activity increase my libido by 300 percent. Restarting it again today. No masturbation till new year! The No-More-Porn Thread - FirstAidKit - 12-13-2011 08:15 PM I'd be interested to know how 'written' porn checks in with this... (female btw) I don't often watch visual porn cause I find it hard to find stuff I like, bar a few videos I tend to come back to. I've been pretty entirely without internet for about 10 weeks and have had to rely on imagination to get off and while it first it was almost impossible, when I got the hang of it I would come much much harder. I've found in the past though that the more I masturbate, the higher my sex drive gets.. and vice versa. It's kindof interesting to see how it plays out for the different sexes. The No-More-Porn Thread - Edmond Dantès - 12-13-2011 09:52 PM @crazyhorse: Thanks a lot for the tip with the withdrawal symptoms, it helped me realising that my withdrawal symptoms totally kicked in. Am trying now to distract myself with doing a lot of things for my studies and some other personal goals. I hope this strategy works out and that the productivity makes it easier for me to keep going. @Alvar & Halo Effect: Thanks for the support, I appreciate your kind words. PS: Still got my deep voice, fuck yeah
