About a month ago I got the phone number of a woman I met during the day. We seemed to hit it off and we have a lot of similar interests and world views, however, she's 10 years older than me (I'm 26) and kept making it clear that I was "too young for her". Eventually, she asked me if I wanted to be friends and I took her up on it because she actually seemed like a really cool person. We've now went out together as friends four times which basically feels like a date without the physicality. I've always had a great time and now that I know she's fun to be around on top of the initial physical attraction that was there, I'm starting to develop feelings.

We're both single and it's getting to the point where I can't resist the urge to tell her how I feel. I refuse to be one of those guys who stands around and stays friends with a girl he's into while she goes off and dates other people. What's the best way to go about telling her? I've heard of some people prefer to be friends first before actually dating, but this is new territory for me. My biggest worry is that she'll still disqualify me based on my age. I've dated older women before and I know some can very stubborn about this while others don't mind at all. On the other hand, obviously, she wouldn't continue to see me if she didn't enjoy my company.

If you like her, tell her. Make a move. If she rejects you, that's life.

The thing I found is : The more you obsess and make a problem out of liking this girl, the more it will make you awkard and no fun to be with. Just be clear, honest, open and do not push her into being your girlfriend right now right here. As the people above me said : Make it known, have fun, see what happens.

And if not, accept it, take measure to prevent that you become an orbiter that in an awkward holding pattern for eternity. Be honest, you and she will prosper most by it.

I think you should rename yourself to "toofastinlove" . Basically, flirt with her a ton, create sexual tension and see how she react to it. Women usually makes it pretty clear they're interested in you sexually at some point, otherwise you dont have a chance. I recommend while you're working on her, go out and hit on other chicks and enjoy their company. The less needy you have toward her, while still being fun and sexual, the higher the chance you will have at getting her.
