I've already read one book of her "why we fall in love" and I loved it.

I think I'm going to be read one of her books again. I would like some more explanations on her different types.

I'm definetly not a director or builder I think Tongue

I'm really curious myself. I definetly recognize myself with the explorer characteristics. But I'm also very verbally expressive, to the point where girls always tell me how they love to hear me speak. Ah girls Smile. I'm also very good with emotions... haha

Who knows perhaps I'm a negotiator (Bill Clinton example), but that would mean I'm going for a girl that is a director. Time to get dominated Big Grin

What I like about Helen Fisher is that she recognizes that biology (hormones etc.) have an effect on behavior and personality. Something that is a bit taboo these days Smile

Big fan of Fisher's (as any long-term reader of the blog knows).

I'm definitely an explorer. And I'm pretty sure I'm high in both testosterone and estrogen. I often felt kind of like an outcast in this industry/community because on the one hand, I had the massive desire to fuck tons of women and to improve myself in any way to do it. But on the other, I've always felt more sensitive empathetic than most guys who do that, I think.

See I also recognize this in myself. Off course I think everybody will want to recognize themselves in this. Mark do you know any books about this? I would love to read up on this phenomenom of both "high testosterone and high estrogen". That's pretty amazing.

I definetly recognize myself in your situation. Right now (after reboot), I'm really noticing a strong desire to be competitive and to fuck girls. But I can also be really tender with them. I also have a lot of qualities that are very typical for either "gay men" or other women, such as noticing details or new elements in their clothing, being able to listen very well and being able to remember details from conversations that have happenned very long ago.

But hey chicks dig it Tongue

For what's worht it, I took the test!

you have to sign up at chemistry.com, but you can always use a fake email. Hell my password to my account was porn Tongue

Appearently my dominant type is explorer and my secondary dominant type is director.

Good match! It also stated that I was a very sexual person because I combine both dopamine and testosterone.

While we shouldn't take it 100% seriously, it can sometimes be painfully correct to read.....

with explorer as your primary type, you can be:
• Novelty Seeking • Flexible
• Impulsive and spontaneous • Open-Minded
• Curious • Energetic
• Creative

with director as your secondary type, you can be:
• Decisive • Competitive
• Focused • Self disciplined
• Analytical • Independent
• Logical

about your personality

You are very curious and you love adventure, either or both intellectual and physical. So when you get interested in something, you can become extremely focused on it, sometimes to the exclusion of all around you. You pursue your interests thoroughly, too, often with originality and exactitude.

You are adaptable, competitive and a problem-solver, as well as skeptical, tough minded and determined. Because you have a lot of energy and tend to be enthusiastic about your theories and projects, you can be very persuasive. You are eager to make an impact on those around you, too, as well as in the wider world.

You are irreverent and highly independent. So you can be oblivious to authority figures, as well as to rules, schedules and social customs. And although you enjoy people and can be charming and humorous, you are not interested in routine social engagements or anyone whom you regard as boring. Instead, you seek stimulating and focused conversations; and you are comfortable being by yourself, pursuing your own many interests.

Of all twelve (primary/secondary) types, you are also the most sexual-because both dopamine and testosterone stimulate the sex drive.
relating to others

You like to have good conversations on important topics; so people tend to admire you for your knowledge and innovativeness. You shy away from emotional or self-revealing conversations, however; introspection leaves you cold. Instead, you derive intimacy from doing things with friends or a partner. So you make an exciting, although at times aloof, companion.
love and relationships

As an Explorer, you look out not in; you are foremost interested in the world around you. So you are attracted to a mate who is also intellectually and physically adventurous and interested in dissecting this complex, tangible universe. You particularly like imaginative and theoretical people, a "mind mate." And you like a partner who is sexual, because you regard sex as an important aspect of a relationship. You have nerves of steel and thrive on the edge. You are also decisive and direct. So you are unconsciously drawn to those who can balance out your highly independent and tough-minded spirit--those who are novelty seeking, yet compassionate, verbal, intuitive, trusting, flexible and emotionally expressive.
