Hey,

First and foremost, this isn't spam. I don't want people getting the wrong idea. I simply watched this presentation about having a digital magazine publication on Apple's Newsstand and Post Masculine came to mind.

I really do recommend that you watch this if you have ten-fifteen minutes spare - http://www.magcasting.co/live

I'm not trying to sell anything, there's no affiliate link in there so please don't be pissed off with me!

just food for thought

I stopped watching after "make money from day one".

Business is simple: You get what you give.
Economy evolves around "value"; give value, get value.

If some 'guru' says: "make money from day one". Then, you know his method doesn't evolve around value. So, it's a scam.

That's the way if you want to accomplish something in your life.
Stop making excuses and start doing it.

Life is the hardest teacher: the tests are given and the lessons are taught after. But life is also a kind teacher, as it gives the same tests again in the future.

I was expecting a reaction like that which is why was trying to
tread carefully.

My point in making this thread didn't revolve around the prospect
of 'making money from day one'. Far from it.

I was interested by the idea that someone could actually go out
and create a magazine without investing a small fortune and have
his/her publication on a product which not only has and continues
to quite literally change the way we view media, but has experienced
one of the fastest rates of growth in the history of technology.

It doesn't appear to be a passing fad either.

I was just curious that there's a whole market of people who
absolutely love content, yet few businesses and companies seem
to be leveraging it within this particular dept and moment in time.

I agree; it's essential to provide value. Post Masculine does that
which is why I felt this was relevant. If time magazine and the likes
didn't do the same, they would be out of business.

My emphasis wasn't on the service itself, more on the concept and
message delivered. Neither was I primarily interested in this for myself,
more in the sense of general application

Love the video by the way.

I'm 100% behind the concept of a PM magazine.
My critique was against the product.

I would even go further and combine crowd sourcing with the magazine.

I would certainly buy such magazine. Tongue

Thanks for posting. I'm familiar with Ed Dale.

Doing some sort of PM magazine or iPhone app is definitely something I'm open to doing in the future and curious to learn more about. But pay $2,000 for it? Probably not.

And yeah, Jani's been pushing me for a PM magazine privately for a while. It's something I'm open to, but not a direction I want to take in the immediate future.
