Dude, you seriously need a RSD detox. Have you ever asked why you need to keep on bringing up this sh1t?
(Don't answer me, answer for yourself.)

Yeah man you do.

But on the other hand... Holy shit, I'm fairly sure he must have stolen this from Mark. It's not just the concept; he could have stumbled upon that some other way, but the way he talks about it. Like saying how it's the most high value thing a guy can be; seems similar to Mark's writing.

Clearly he doesn't understand the concept properly though. Just tries to reframe it to the idea of being 'natural'. Wonder why Tyler is so obsessed with that concept. Maybe because the reality of it is so alien to him...

And that's Tyler huh? He looks different to the few moments I've seen anything of. He dresses better than I gave him credit for. But watching him, you can sense how incongruent with what he says. The way he talks about this stuff is different from someone who really understands the concepts of it and is trying to figure out how to best communicate that, it's more like someone who has part of an idea and is doing his best to talk about it in a way that he can then make sense of afterwards. Making up stuff and rationalizing it after.

The line that best sums up his take on it; "I can act the way I am, and people accept it!" In reality, it's "I can act the way I really am whether or not people accept it". Opening yourself up anyway when it's possible that people won't accept it; that's vulnerability

i don't get it. the video wasn't really that bad. actually i can see it being really helpful advice for some people who could use that advice. but really, it seems like you get off on complaining about rsd.

I wasn't going to bother watching this until I saw Tim's reply... and wow... it's almost word-for-word what I talk about in my articles here and here and also in the entire first section of my book.

And he's in my fucking hometown no less.

I don't know if he actually saw my stuff or not, but considering my ideas on vulnerability are some of the few things that I feel like I came up with that are uniquely my own and not borrowed from other sources or influences, it really does make me wonder. Dig through self help enough and you'll find 95% of PUA theories in some form or another. But as far as I know, framing vulnerability as a form of power and strength in men is not anywhere else. There's some psychological research that correlates it to emotional connection and strength of relationships. But nothing that frames it as a form of attraction. Or at least no where that I've found.

Oh well, that's just the nature of the industry. Whether coaches consciously rip off other coaches or find themselves coming to similar conclusions after being exposed to similar ideas, I don't know. It's been going on forever. And I've been guilty of it in the past. And I've been guilty of being ripped off in the past too. I noticed Rob Judge put up an article a couple weeks ago talking about how words don't matter, only emotions do. Can't deny that it sounded exactly like things I've been saying for over a year now. But, to be fair, he and I have had a bunch of conversations in person about pick up and what matters and what doesn't in the past, so it's totally plausible we just came to the same conclusions independently based on sharing similar ideas.

to the guys telling me I need to get rid of rsd, yeah thx I know, I actually found this vid when I cleaned my favourites list in my internet explorer.

Anyway, Mark, yeah. It seems like Tyler is the ultimate copycat, slightly after 60 years of challange came out with the shit about social momentum Tyler started to preach it too.

Tyler also states in ALOT of posts that he "never looks at other peoples materials" or "never look on other pua sites but rsdnation", this is probably him disqualifying himself so other people wont say "YOU STOLE THAT TYLER!!"

Tyler always talks about authenticity and all that shit, but he is the worst fucking guy in the community. He steals from EVERYONE and doesnt even give credit.

OK, so here's something eerie. That video was actually posted on May 25th, 2011. I wrote the first four chapters of Models on vulnerability and authenticity in April and May of 2011. It appears that we both came to the same conclusions independently.

I guess it was just floating in the ether.

That is weird. Hadn't you been talking about it before then though on the blog? He doesn't really go in to much detail in the video. It's more like this 10 second original thought that he then goes on to explain in terms of the stuff he already teaches.

Btw, that first link is missing the - between in and vulnerability. I.e. you put invulnerability. Here's the actual: http://postmasculine.com/power-in-vulnerability

Hey, there's a lot of power in invulnerability too. Wink

I had been alluding to it for probably a year prior, but I hadn't put it explicitly in those terms yet. I started talking about pick up being a process of opening yourself up to your own emotions as well as managing emotional connections with others as early as spring of 2010. I also alluded to emotional connections on and off for a couple years before that, although back in those days I just knew that they were important, I didn't really know why or how. But the emotional stuff really didn't start to come together until Spring of 2010, and framing it in terms of vulnerability is something I didn't think of until maybe March of 2011.

The video is pretty good, but why is he acting like such a weirdo? He's talking about not putting on a schtick? Come on, he's clearly doing that himself, in the video.

It actually seems like TD has gotten a lot weirder since bp

TD is a very weird guy in real life. It's funny how TD is all about "natural game" but in real life, mystery is actually MORE NORMAL than TD LOL. The first thing td needs to learn about natural game is how he himself should become more normal.

The one thing I dont like so much with TD and RSDs "approach" these days is that they just seems to be obsessed with getting laid. Fat girls, ugly girls, doesnt matter. How many girls they approach before someone eventually likes them? doesnt matter, just approach approach approach approach.

Doesnt seem like no one of them cares in actually developing some kind of charming personality no more, no "skills" at all, its just a huge fucking numbers game. Now, I do agree that its a numbers game, but isnt game supposed to make these numbers better when your skill increases?

I mean, tyler himself, a veteran who have been doing this for 11 years says stuff like:

Quote:last night I stuck it out for 5 hours of humiliation and finally pulled the very last girl of the night as the club piled out -- which is why I'm awake now at 8AM."

I mean, I just cant see the purpose in fucking chasing chicks down the street just to get a fucking lay, I dont wanna go thru 5 hours of humiliation in the club and get seen as a weirdo by everyone just to finally get a lay with some random horny girl 04 AM.

I want to develop to a more confident and charming person who people actually like, who ends up sleeping with alot of girls cause of this , I dont wanna be some sex addict maniac running around shouting "WOO WOOO WOOO" in the club getting blown out by everyone after 2 seconds and then finally find some fat girl, just seems like a big waste of time.

Watched 40 seconds of the video. Had to turn it off as I cannot stand the guy already. Looking for Mark's "Can we stop paying attention to RSD now" comments in this thread. If you are on here then I would assume you know that Mark's material is much more superior and more genuine than that BS.

Dude, I've been dropping the "can we stop talking about RSD now?" replies for almost a year now, and it hasn't stopped them.

Yes, Tyler's a weirdo. And any guy who brags about staying up until 8AM to chase down a one night stand when he's got a fucking kid at home is a deadbeat. Sorry, but truth.

But can we stop talking about RSD now?

I think the reason why so many old RSDers come onto this site is cause Marks material is in a way very similar to RSD, but explained in another way.

"Being authentic", "expressing yourself and your desire", damn, even Marks "positive, social and fun" is similar to rsd alex "positive dominant, man of action and escalation".

The difference is that Mark explain it in a more "normal way" that people can grasp much easier, while RSD tend to blow shit out of propotion, rename normal psychological concepts with eastern philosophy ideas etc.

Thats probably what attracted me to this forum, a "natural" approach to game but at the same time not the same crazyness as RSD.

Not really. Tyler got about 20 percent of the concept mark teaches, but unfortunately, he came with 80 percent bullshits as well. I think you think that it's so similiar because you're still somewhat program with rsd conditioning.

Btw, i recently have a "new ephiphany" regarding RSD LOL. Ok, so recently i looked up on objectivism community and i discover that many of them felt they're "not good enough". In fact, AYn Rand and objectivism is pretty much in some way a cult. Base on my knowledge of Tyler, he's been studying Ayn Rand for AT LEAST 5 years and greatly influence by her. He probably brings tons of her shitty philosophies into rsd, including the "not good enough" concept and thus he fucked up many of his followers. So yeah, ya all got fucked in the ass by Ayn Rand(metaphorical dildo since she's a woman).

Hey, there's a lot of stuff about Ayn Rand's work that I love. It's just been warped over the generations by her followers.

I think Tyler just thinks he's smarter than he actually is. I also think he has a desperate desire to have guys look up to him, hence all of the cult-like activity that goes on over there, and him self-indulging in 20 hours of his own nonsense and then calling it the most important seminar ever made or whatever.
