Due to my circumstances (really strict parents) I am only able to do daygame. The thing is that once in a while I get the balls to approach a girl fully direct and then maybe have a conversation with her. Most of the time though I just let the girl walk by me. Its killing me inside but I just cant seem to approach for some reason. Anyways, I was wondering if any one who does it regularly can tell me how they made it work for themselves?

I mean, just do it? There's no secret or trick. Approaching someone means approaching someone. 3 second rule. Don't think, do.

Beyond that, what are your "circumstances"? Do you still live with your parents? Because if you do, I'd focus on moving out over approaching women.

Yes I still live with my parents. I am a college student. I want to move out so badly because my parents are really strict (really religious people). I am trying to work with what I have though. It is painful but I am trying to push through. I might try Mark's desensitization exercise.

I feel your pain I remember living at home and having my life totally dominated by my parents for years. I have had some experience of approaching women so I can maybe chime in and offer some help.

First of all dont beat yourself over the head just because you never hit on a girl you fancied. We have all been there, I am sure even the top guys on this forum have had days when they havent hit on a girl they have liked.

Have you tried spending time doing warm up approaches ?. For example going into a sales store and chatting to the sales assistants ?. They are paid to be nice so its a great way of getting out of your head. You can even compliment a sales assistant then walk away.

Even if you feel nervous say anything, if you hit a mental block and or feel nervous just tell her something like "I am sorry I want to talk to you but my mind has gone completely blank whats your name ?" oh and remember to smile

All right. That does help a bit. I should just go up to sales clerks and chat them up a bit.

You can even chat to the staff in Star bucks. I sometimes go in for a coffee or if I ask them for some water from the tap. My conversation might go something like this

Oldguy: Excuse me can I have tap water please
Staff: sure
Oldguy: If I drink anymore caffeine I am gonna be bouncing off the walls ;-)
Staff: LOL
Oldguy: So hows your day going ?
