banning all my modern addictions
After making it an agenda to drop porn, I can really say that it made me aware of how modern addictions (facebook, internet etc) are really shaping our lives. When I was a heavy porn user, I couldn't feel intimiate with women and I lost my zest for life. Granted in the more-porn-thread I spoke about a recent relapse, but I can tell that for me it has been a life-changer so far. If everything goes well, I should write up a reboot account within a couple of months.

Dropping porn had the effect that I spended a whole lot less time on the internet and I could actually tell that the quality of my life improved dramastically. I started reading books, I started excercising more etc.

So I'm playing with this idea of giving up modern day addictions.

purely giving it up is probably going to be out of the question. But I'm probably going to limit it to maybe 1 hour a day?

I'm actually not completely sure on how I would handle this, so I would actually like some first-hand experiences from other people. Could somebody give me some advice on this? Or share some of their experiences?

In all honesty I think it would do my social life great as well. People would actually have to call you instead of sending you an invite through facebook. Or actually tell you that you have received an e-mail instead of telling you "oh didn't you got my email".
