Your First Cold Approach

Hey ya'll,

I feel like I'm really close to doing my first direct cold approach. It's not too hard for me to strike up an indirect conversation when the circumstances are just right. But I really want to just be able to come up to a girl, tell her she's cute, and see who she is.

Do you guys remember your first approach like that? What was it like?

Ha ha. Sure I remember. It was 2 hours ago. And in fact, I'm not sure it count as an approach but well... we all start somewhere lol. I only wanted to tell her she was beautiful, and to have a nice day. That's all. Because I'm nervous with women, I wanted to start easy. And anyway, I had an interview for a cool job 15 minutes later.

This is how simply it happened:
-I see her in the mall
-I walk directly to her
-I tell her; "Hi miss."
-At this moment she stop, surprised. She don't look me in the eyes and avoid looking directly at me.
-I continue; "I know it's somewhat random, but you're beautiful and I wanted to tell you. Have a nice day!"
-Still not looking at me directly she seem a little confused, not sure if she should react well or not and say a soft "thank you"
-I go, as if nothing had happened. I was feeling my heartbeat race in my chest for such a little thing...

So. That all. First time I do such a thing. I'm not sure how to take from that, but I'll try again now that I know it's not that hard and when I'll feel comfortable doing this, I'll try a real cold approach.
