What do you want to do (Careers wise)

So I thought as the main content seems to be race threads, I might throw another topic out here...

I think having a job you really like is one of the most attractive qualities out there. So what do you want to do ideally? Are you doing that now?


I'm pretty lucky in this, I've just landed my first full time job out of university and it's everything I could hope for. I'm an engineer and I work for a company that make automation for stage shows - flying performers, trapdoors, revolving floors, lots of bespoke design work that has to be built within about 3 months. The company really throw you in at the deep end too - I started two months ago and just finished building my first project.

So what field are you all in/want to be in?

Ideally, full time working musician.

Right now though, I went to school to be a programmer, and I work in the entertainment industry programming computers, and have enough time to pursue other interests (like music), so it's a pretty good compromise. There's really no money in music these days, so I have to balance what I love to do with wanting to eat!
