What do you do when you hate the male friends of the girl you are dating?

So the girl I used to date had two friends that I did not like.

One was a bitchy gay dude and the other was a bitchy straight dude.

For the future, how do I deal with this type of situation?

Do I express the fact that I do not like her friends or do I just keep it to myself?

On another note, I am becoming more comfortable with the fact that I do not have to like everyone.

Are they nice to you? Are they nice to her? If so you suck it up.

Be polite and courteous to them - you don't have to like everyone but there's no excuse for being rude. I also wouldn't specifically tell her that you don't like them , as it's likely to make her feel defensive. If she asks, something like "they seem okay, but I don't think we click" is a good stock answer.

What you CAN do is comment on specific behaviour - if they are bitching about someone you can say or tell the girl "I think it's rude to badmouth someone behind their backs" or so on. Or, just avoid hanging out with them. You don't have to hang out with all her friends.

It's good to keep in mind that she's probably getting something out of the friendship even if its not obvious to you - I know I have one or two friends that can be kind of bitchy. I can put up with calling them out from time to time as they've really stuck by me and been there when I've been going through hard times, and I'd feel annoyed if people expected me to cut them out.

Well, the issue is simply that they were not nice to me. Both acted condescending and they are both passive aggressive. Neither knew I was dating the girl. I simply acted cool in light of this and refused to get angry and I was just wondering if I handled it right.

They dont sound like very nice friends to the girl you use to date. If anything I would have expected them to be nice to you as they want the best for their female friend. I am guessing they feel threatened in one way or other ?. I would have a quiet word with them ask them why they are being so aggressive towards you ?

Dude, you handled it perfectly. Don't let fools hook you into a struggle. If they say something dumb, leave it on the table. Basically, if shit is coming out of someone's mouth, would you want to touch it? No, let them get all stinky. You keep yourself cool and fresh.
