Weird question

I'm kind of embarrassed asking this question, but don't judge

In a few days, I'm going back-packing for a few weeks with a couple friends. I like taking a lot of pictures and I also like being in pictures (or it didn't happen).

Problem is: none of the folks I'm going with are really keen on photography and they probably won't even carry cameras. This means I'll have a bunch of pictures of the trip, without me in them.

Aside from just keeping on asking them to take a picture of me doing this or that...any non-embarrassing ways to preserve the Kodak moments?
