Mark, I recommend you use blue for "post"masculine and for "new" as well. Beside the fact it looks more manly, it also look a whole lot better.

I still remember a member of casanovacrew decided to ditch casanova and created a competition forum. He thinks it's cute to make it all pinkish red. I took a look for 1 second and decided to never register there lol. There are things that are beautiful and things that are cheesy looking.

I think it looks nice enough. My beef is with the font.
It's not pleasant to read at all.
I've looked for ways to reset the old template, but apparently is not possible in this software or it's not enabled. Or I haven't found it in my settings.

I like the color.

But I agree with Alvar: On my notebook's LCD the font is hard to read.

I think red is definitely too harsh a colour. Blue is softer on the eyes, but the right shade of grey might be optimal. I work with two website designers and I know they'd tell me that this colour and font is superficially appealing but not something people will actually want to spend a lot of time on.

Font is definitely too small and also a bit too pretty. I suggest trying something more functional.

Just copy the forums over at http://forum.bodybuilding.com/ Forums are not something that need to be overdone. Good activity/usage comes from having good content (relative to your audience).

Honestly, the practicalpickup forum had a very good interface. Font is big, font colors is easy on the eyes. Like Tim said, it's about the activity that draws the people in. Keep the old forum's format while increase advertising + increase content and you'll get more people imo.

Please, Mark, restore the old forum (or its formatting). I can hardly read this here ...

Could be great if we can have our avatar or upload more image (link via imageshack for example).

The format is pretty sweet. I would definitely keep it. But yeah, the font is a little hard on the eyes.

I would just make the font bigger in the actual posts. I actually like the format besides that, actual content should be a bit easier to read though.

Yeah, I'll restore it. Still looking for a good forum theme if anyone has any suggestions.

As for the logo, I tried a grey and I tried a blue, per your suggestions, but I didn't like them that much. I like the red. Although I made the red darker, like blood red. That way Brian doesn't have to question his sexuality every time he comes to the site.

Also, avatars are coming. I've been on "vacation" the past couple weeks, purposely not doing any work on the site. But I'm back and there's tons of shit to fix/build up. I have to say though, that vBulletin is much less user-friendly than MyBB. Not a huge fan so far.

Actually, I like that mark listen to feedback and made this forum much more viewable. Dominance and danger...especially danger is fun to view the first time as a joke, but in the long run, people likes seeing stuff that's easy on the eye. Given how ADD our culture is, if something disturbed even the most casual forum viewer, they probably wont even bother registering lol. We need more people joining, not less.

I've been pretty MIA the past few weeks. But I'm back to work and there's a lot of shit I want to build and add to the site. Lot more articles coming as well. Like I said in another thread, it looks like the site lost about 20% of people in the change-over. So things will be slightly quieter for a few months.

Lol how much fewer members this forum has. A lot of people must have signed up to the last one just because of the "pick up" label.

There were a LOT of spam accounts on the last forum. Also, a couple hundred people signed up when the old forum started but never posted.

http://www.tricksession.com/forums/index.php

I visit this site regularly, and, after comparing this site and that one, I find tricksession to be easier to read and enjoy for some reason. Look at the threads and tellm me what you think.

I keep looking for vBulletin themes, and I'm getting annoyed at how few there are and how shitty most of them look. Still keeping an eye out. This default one is OK, but I'd like to do something else with it.

If you plan to model any kind of forum, i recommend modeling the tried and true type of forum that already have millions of users. There's a reason why these forums have millions of users and ugliness isnt one of them.

Bodybuilding.com is pretty fantastic, but there are others of course.
