Some pics from when I was in Australia in 2007/2008.

Rafting, near Cairns. This was actually one of the coolest experiences in Australia for me. It was seriously awesome. The captain of our boat would guide us so that we were under waterfalls, so the whole boat would go half a meter under water while we were still sitting in it. We could also go into the water and go down waterfalls ourselves. And the rafting and the surroundings were also great!




Tandem skydive. I actually didn't enjoy it THAT much (although it was still pretty sweet!). First of all, I got picked up at 7 AM and I hadn't slept well and I was nervous (plus I'm not a morning person). And I paid for them to take my pictures in the sky and film me, but it distracted from the experience for me, because it caused some self-consciousness. But still cool to have done. One day I'll do skydives on my own.




This little place was in Cape Tribulation, north of Cairns. Me and a Brazilian guy rented bikes. Then we biked down some path, until it was just jungle and we had to walk to get farther in. Eventually we came to this place. The water was very clear, little fish swimming in it. The surroundings were spectacular. I hope I still have the high res pics of these somewhere. We went for a swim here. Loved it.




This was close to where the picture above was taken, where we went for a swim. We had a good laugh.

Glad you didn't get eaten By Crocs Halo. Those are some awesome pictures. Maybe we can get our diving licenses out of a crop dusting plane down in South America.....

I still have a bunch more. I'll keep it slow...... I just couldn't resist. This is one of my favorite topics.

I forget the name of the falls but this is in New Hampshires White Mountain National Forest as well. This is natural.



This is me describing what was going through my head immediately after awkwardly falling upside down during a climb (5.11 I believe called Vinyl Siding at Farley Ledge, MA). My belay partner caught me and flew up into the air, slamming into me before I went head first into a rock. My good friend who is the most bad ass dude I know saw the whole thing and his face was white. I just came down giggling. It all happened so fast, I couldn't believe my friend's face when I saw it. This was 1/2 times I almost died that weekend for real.



On a v5 called "Chronic" out at the Farley Ledge in Western, MA. Sticking moves hard until the final move/crux. My 6'4 friend can BARELY reach the hold and none of us can hold on to it.

One Thursday morning during breakfast in Uppsala, Sweden, where I studied for six months, me and my French Canadian corridor mate somehow got to talking about how cool it would be to go to Oslo, Norway. It's pretty close, right? We could go there... In fact, we could go there today. Why not? Moments later, my mate is checking on his phone what a train ticket to Oslo costs.

From 9 AM until 12 PM we had Swedish classes and there we told another friend about our idea. He agreed that it was awesome and wanted to come with, but he said that renting a car is much cooler than going by train. So after class ended we all took our bikes and rode to the nearest car rental place. We left our bikes there and drove off with a car! We went to buy groceries and alcohol, some throw-away barbeques and meat. We picked up the necessary stuff from our rooms, and off we went!

We were just daydreaming about going to Oslo that same morning, and now here we were, actually driving to Norway. We stopped at the first gas station and asked for a map. He didn't sell maps, so we asked: "Which way is west?" He pointed. For hours and hours we drove west without any sort of map or directions.

Our first stop was at this beautiful little lake. We set up our barbeque and enjoyed some excellent burgers and sausages. Here's me owning at BBQ'ing:



Next stop was Oslo. At like 5 AM we arrived there. But it was raining. And 5 AM. My Canadian friend checked the weather on his phone. It was rainy in Oslo... But it was sunny in Bergen. And Bergen is beautiful. Also one of the rainiest cities in the world, but it was awesome weather there today. So let's go there first, we all said. Bergen is in the west of Norway, but I mean, Norway is a pretty narrow country, right?



After several hours of driving we stopped at a gas station and asked how much further Bergen was. The men behind the counter shared a look. Bergen?! That's a fucking eight hour drive! Oops. We thought we were almost there. Time to get that map.

The road there was for the most part curvy, narrow roads through mountains. The views were extroardinary. Mountains, lakes, forests. Beautiful country! (Although it sucks to drive a car on a very narrow road and then getting trucks coming the other way. Scary!)

We arrived there in the evening, and we were there that evening and most of the next day. Bergen is a very beautiful and old town. Here you can see Bergen behind me:

We walked all around Bergen, had a boat trip through the fjords, had a whale steak that evening, and then we went to Oslo during the night and spent the next day there. This was an awesome adventure and made me realize how easy it is to do adventurous stuff. All you have to do is to break your daily routine and DO IT. I live in The Netherlands, mere hours away from several other amazing countries. A weekend away with friends to another place can be something that you remember the rest of your life.

I want to do more of this... but for now, I will go to Colombia in two weeks!

But, really, you could go on an amazing adventure, even today. What's stopping you, right now?

LOL, yeah I've been told here and again... except the guy is 5ft 11... you can't fully appreciate it on TV but I've seen him a couple of times (he's from Móstoles) and you'd be amazed how tall he is ... and Sara Carbonero is quite short... and fucking hot
