Online Dating Question

Decided to use online dating as another vehicle to meet women outside my cold approaching. I just registered on cupid.com stuck a few photos on their and within 30 minutes got 6 messages in my inbox from women.

My question is to those who have used online dating before. Are these real women contacting me ? or is cupid sending these mails to me from fake accounts to get me to register as a full paid member ?. The girls look cute from the photos.

So usually when you first register for a dating site, you come up as a "new member" which leads to more attention. Beyond that, older guys usually get a good deal of attention online since messages to women drop off significantly after age 35.

As for fake profiles, you can generally tell which ones are fake because they will ask you for personal information (real email address, etc) and have either blurry, pictures or pictures that are clearly fake (pictures of models taken from the internet).
