Official Article Suggestion Thread
I'd like to open up a thread for article suggestions on the site. I'd like this to be an ongoing thread where I can derive ideas for new content from you guys and get a better sense of what people want to read about.

Don't think I need to tell you guys what the site's about. You know the kind of stuff I write and what I write about. So if there's something you want to know more about, or something you're curious about, post it here.

Hey Mark,

I would love to hear your take on cold reads. That topic might be a little bit too gamey for your tastes but I'm pretty confident in approaching women and flirting with them, still I feel I have some holes in comfort. That would certainly be helpful for a lot of readers, including me (always have been more of the dissociative type).

Keep up the good work,

Mark, will you write an article about limiting beliefs in the next weeks?

I'm asking you this question because I began writing a bigger article/thread/post for the forum (like the one I did with goal setting) and I wouldn't release it if you'll write about the topic very soon. Why? Because it's a lot of effort, energy and time I would put into such an article...

Have a nice evening Smile

It would be usefull and interesting if you revisit older concepts. For example, you could explain what you mean when you talk about "truth" in the context of models or how your perspective on the importance of things like social proof has changed compared to your statements in older articles.

Don't think my perception of social proof has really changed much over the years. As an attraction tool, it's widely overrated in cold approach situations (i.e., talking to the bartender to impress some girl across the room or whatever). In social circle situations, or within closed environments, it's incredibly powerful (i.e., being a promoter at the same club over a period of months, or being president of a fraternity). I guess a better way to put it is that it's a pretty weak short-term strategy, but a very strong long-term one.

Cold reads are covered in Models I believe, and will be covered and practiced in the new Conversation/Connection Program coming out in a couple weeks.

Keep 'em coming.

Stories of when you were sleeping on a couch that one time and how you got out of it. They would be interesting to readers who are currently unsatisfied with their job situation, judging by the survey.

It'd be swell if you could talk about your experiences in certain cities in-depth, like NYC, Miami, Boston, etc.

I also recall a thread a long while ago where you got into external validation becoming internal validation eventually. I think you said Zyzz was a perfect example of this validation change: he worked out for girls and eventually it became more of a journey for himself. I'm particularly invested in this one as currently I'm investing plenty in myself fitness-wise and my confidence is still a little in the works.

I'd think an article on friendship during travels would be nice: especially if it covers how radical the relationships can be under the pressures of travel.

I can't help but feel as if I'm playing into the characterization of the survey with some of these suggestions: a young go-getter who wants to travel around the world and carve his place in it. It's awesome though. There are several people on here just like me haha.

About 2/3 of the site's readers are just like you.

The nature of friendship and how living mobile changes it and changes your perspective on it is a larger piece that I've tucked away for the next book I'm going to write. We'll see how it turns out when I write it though.

Anxiety. All kinds of anxiety, no only AA. It's incredible how anxiety infiltrates the dating world.
How to cut the over-analysis. So many guys (including myself) over-analyzing the smallest detail. It's crazy!

A think from time to time it would be interesting to have some articles that dwell in the dynamics of relationships. A lot, if not all, of the content of the site is geared towards self-improvement and the background and the forums are still pick-up centered. However I think for most of us, the long term goal is to get an stable girlfriend someday... and I'm pretty sure I won't stop posting and reading once I'm in a relationship... and the dynamic of relationships is completely different from anything else, and specially from traditional and non-traditional pick-up advice (well actually in PUA stuff is not even considered)... There're topics like jealousy, coexistence, how to avoid routine (sexual or otherwise) that I think can be explored in depth, specially if you come from a pick-up background.

Now I know most of those topics are considered out of the "masculine" advice and are usually more into girls magazines and stuff, but the real fact is that first girls usually have no idea of how to handle relationships, they put too much effort, too much emotional attachment and usually lose their independence in the process (not all of them of course), and second, for once, guys should also be interested and participant of what the relationship needs and how to handle situations on an emotional level (for example reading Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus was an eye opening experience for me). I was thinking in something in the likes of "Does promiscuity ruin your chances as a potential husband".

Relationship advice is not "masculine" advice, but it is absolutely "postmasculine" advice. Wink

I had previously asked for a post on how to help others in an effective way. I'd also like to see posts on dating/gaming in multicultural contexts, along with your travel posts. I know you won't do lay reports, but that's not what I am talking about, the important differences among cultures, how women behave and relate to men, and how men display their masculinity.

This is something I'd like to write about as well... although I'm so hesitant to make general statements about women from other cultures since I've rarely been with more than a couple of them from each country.

I'm not against writing LR's. If I have something interesting to tell that involves sex with a girl, I'll write about it. I think the whole breakdown, analyze what I did that worked and didn't and all that... I think those days are over.

Just FYI, there's a tag now with all relationship-relevant articles: http://postmasculine.com/tag/relationships
I think there are more there than you probably remember.

But yes, I'd like to do more relationship-type content as well. I often feel like I've said almost everything there is to say about pick up and dating.

I didn't pay much attention to men's rights issues but I found TDOM's comments very intriguing and fascinating (here) and left me very curious. I'd like to see that subject explored in the blog - I guess someone else already mentioned masculinity, but this may be require a look from a different perspective.

I did too... I still owe his blog a read and some commenting.

So much stuff to get to and so little time! My "post ideas" txt file is back up into the 60-70 range. Just haven't had time to sit down and write a bunch out.

This is why I'm hiring!

How to learn to care about people (in terms of curiosity in their lives, to connect with them) and enjoy being around them just for the sake of enjoying them and not just/only for a purpose.

This could apply to women and people in general.

An article on how to politely get rid of women when you've gotten what you wanted from the encounter, without hurting feelings/pride or being disrespectful... or deal with unwanted interest from females.

I expected an article about porn and masturbation and their effects after the two month challenge. I'm guessing it's one of the many subjects in Mark's list with blog post ideas.

I would like to see articles about the "One it is" Girls and a lot of articles about how to raise one´s self esteem.

Maybe deeper thoughts about emotional depending and emotional vampire like the rawness did.

Thanks

I would like to see an article about raising self esteem.
Not so much theory only, but more like I understand the approach program is structured.
A bit of understanding about the underlying psychology, with a focus on doing something, and especially dealing what has been done/accomplished.
