I find it sad that the authur did not include some of the most important distinction between NY VS LA. For Day game purposes, NY is definitely infinitely better than LA.

Yes, the rumor is true, LA is supremely spread apart. Because it's so spread apart, it's much harder to find day game location with almost unlimited women. Take a look at all the successful pickup guru for day game, they all reside in NY(Paul Janka, Justin Wayne etc).

However, having visited both city, the advantage of LA is that the women here are MUCH more polite and down to earth. The women at NY can be some what rude to be honest.

I kill to live in NYC just because of the dating scene because those type of girls are more my type then the party girls in socal. Sadly, there are no jobs for me (engineer) in that city. I'd have to go to Jersey to be close to them but people say to avoid jersey like the Plague. I might have to settle with Boston, which is probably the next best thing.

After i watched jersey shore, i say, yeah, avoid that shit. The girls there looks trashy as hell.

It's true, for day game, LA isn't all that great. Unless you're on a college campus, or a really touristy part of Venice or Hollywood, there really aren't that many people walking around. Add in the fact that most Angelenos spend an hour or two a day in the car and that really cuts into our social time.

It's also true our work hours tend to be a bit shorter, but is that a bad thing? I sorta like that I'm home by 5 or so most days and can still enjoy the sun (most of the year). And it's true the entertainment field has some comical hours sometimes... I remember working as a music biz intern briefly and coming in nearly an hour late and STILL being an hour earlier than any of my bosses (and this was around noon).

I don't really agree with some of the other assertions though. First, blondes better to the west, brunettes to the east? Are we completely discounting our large population of Hispanic, Asian, black, Persian, and Armenian women, or do only white girls count? Entertainment is a large part of our economy (my day job really has nothing directly to do with entertainment but is still connected to it) but it's hardly the only industry out here, engineering and software and education are huge out here as well.

Really, my only beef with the article is that you pretty much could have written this without living in either place at all. I love both cities (I live in LA and have been to NY a few times as I have family and friends there), but it doesn't really go past any of the surface stereotypes of either place.

In the article's defense, there are a LOT of fake blonds in LA, and far fewer in NYC.

Just to give a little context, Frank has no background in the community, so he probably doesn't even know what day game is. He's an extremely talented writer, but yeah, I don't think he's accustomed to the depth that this site operates at yet. He's a smart guy though, so I think he'll get there.
