RE: New design of PostMasculine
LOL, that is ironic.

I think my biggest complaint is that this new design just has to much white....

But hey, I'm glad your testing different things and seeing what works best.
Mark, do you ever read Chase Amente's blog?

I really love the design of it. Simple, elegant, and professional looking.

Also, design aside, yours and Chase's blog are the two best blogs in the industry (content wise) right now. Any idea what percentage of your readers are shared between you and Chase?

No clue. And I've read bits of his stuff here and there. He seems to know his shit.

Would there be any way to make it so "Continue Reading" loads the rest of the article on the same page? Its a nice convenience option if it doesn't result in the main page taking significantly longer to load.

This is pretty easy to do, I do this with a lot of the web work I do at work (basically making a couple of divs collapsible, plus it's not particularly server intensive), but the bigger problem would be readability. Some of the articles are short enough to fit on the main page like that, but with other ones (the India article, for example), it would make the page a mess. Also, if ever Mark puts 3rd party ads on his site, which I don't think he does right now, having it would on another page would increase the clickthroughs.

I've already added it to the front page. Not sure how I feel about it. Part of me would rather have people click through and see the comments section, opt-ins, etc.

I don't like it now that I've tried it! Consider it a vote against from a very mediocre web designer.

This might be because I'm using Opera, but the font on the front page doesn't look good on my LCD. It looks like the printing in one of those very cheap 5 $ paperback books.
Maybe a font with less serifs would look better.

I like the new design. It's very smooth and simple. However, I would make the logo bigger. It looks too small compared to the font size of the body.

I totally love the new design. Simple but effective.
