Meeting women in the gym

I've always wondered about this and always chickened out about this subject. What are your guys view about approaching women in the gym? I've always been too scared to do it, mainly because if I messed up with a girl I felt that I would see them every day after that and it would be awkward. Is this my approach anxiety talking or do you guys agree with this. On the other hand if I approached women at the gym that would be a lot of good looking women to add to the roster . thoughts?

It's great. Don't wuss out. Do it! I actually met a nice Philippino girl today at the gym. I sort of talk to everyone though.. haha. Trainers... whoever. But I make sure to get my work out in. It's usually between sets when I need rest. When you see a cute girl doing something, say something like "feel the burn" or "feel the stretch". That usually gets them laughing. Or you can ask about the equipment they're using. Women also tend to do a lot of cardio, so when I'm next to them say on the elliptical, I'll look at them and say, "I'll race you..." with a smile. Works like a charm. Even if they are unavailable, they are usually extremely friendly and open to chat. If you really wanna have great odds, take up a yoga class :-) The gym is great as well because there is a sense of comfort between the two of you. It's a totally different situation than say a stranger approaching a random girl on the street. You guys are on the same "wavelength" so to speak.

Gym is a great place to meet women. I love women who look after themselves :-). I go with the flow in the moment I might go up and compliment a girl. Other times I might be situational and ask her how the new exercise she is doing is going for her and what muscles she is focusing on. I might even flirt sometimes and tell her how she is pushing way to much weight on the machine and how shes showing me up because I cant lift half of what shes lifting.

Thanks guys! I started trying to talk to girls at the gym. However this has always bothered me and kind of has stopped me for going further with girls at the gym. If they are in a middle of a workout I'm scared to continue the conversation because I feel like there going to say "you're interrupting my workout!" , am I over thinking this? I normally talk to girls at the gym who aren't doing anything or are doing abs or something.
