Meditation ---> Habit
Inspired by Mark's article 'Meditation: Why you should do it' ive decided to give it a try for 30 days. Each day i will come here and post that i did my meditation for that day and will continue to post how it effected me thus far. I am going to try and increase the amount of time i meditate a day each week. (1st week - 5 min, 2nd week - 10 min, 3rd week - 15 min, etc.)

Two main benefits that i hope to get from this:
1. Increase focus since i feel like i zone out a lot throughout my day..
2. Reducing social anxiety around women and strangers

Day 1: Did 5 minutes of Meditation

Man was it hard! Thoughts going everywhere but started to calm down after a few minutes. I was in my room and heard some distractions from outside and my mom walking around. Maybe ill try a quiter spot. Also im using my ipod with some nature sounds (creek, rain, and thunderstorm)...helps me feel calm and peaceful.

Day 2: Did meditation for 5 min

Was definitely hard as my mind was everywhere. Thoughts would calm down and then come back again. Im going to research some things about meditation and see if i can find some tips for this.

Was able to clear my thoughts a little better as i was in a darker room. Thoughts still creepin up tho

Felt like the beginning was a bit easier for me this time. I was able to have no thoughts for awhile until they crept up on me again. Maybe this is a sign of improvement!
