Marks book and 4 elements of game
Just wanted to say, Im reading these 2 books right now and I can honestly say its the best shit Ive ever read in the community. Dont know if this is me deluding myself but since reading some chapters of 4 elements of game my mindset has made a drastic change.

Its almost like all these weird RSD concepts that I had finally "connect" with eachother and I on some level understand why things work as they do.

Also Marks writings about female attraction is based on high value and also the need to be perceived and pursued sexually, and how to solve that paradox by being vulnurable. I didnt like that word as first cause it sounds so "weak" or how to put it, but when mark explained it as being willing to put your ballz on the line and expressing your personality fully without seeking any certain response more than just that, expressing yourself and being who you are, it clicked really well.

I will probably have some questions about some of these stuff later on, uuuuh, well yeah I just wanted to say that.

I also read Models and I love it - but I'm having a hard time connecting it with RSD concepts. To me Rsd feels more like fueling your ego and disregarding the social norm, in a bad way, which works in the short term but is detrimental in the long term. I went through a really weird phase after watching ''The Blueprint'', my friends told me I was being annoying when drunk and such..
Admittedly, that may have more to do with my personal development than Rsd concepts, of course.

But I still find it hard to, how to put it, ''translate'' the rsd teachings into healthy actions. But I guess it depends on the material. I watched a seminar with Tim, and it was good, as he kept it very basic, and focused on having fun. The Blueprint with Tyler just caused me to get further stuck in my head. It did however introduce me to self help, in a broader sense, which was great.

I like mark's book, but what's so special about 4 elements of game? It's basically tons of feel good random words to "go approach".

From what i know, rob judge was super heavy into rsd and even took an rsd bootcamp before he became rob judge lol

I think these all cater to different personalities. I haven't read 4 elements, but some of rob judges articles, and he seems to have a simple no-nonsense approach to pickup, along with being a good motivational speaker.
I can see how that relates to rsd in some ways. Like, if you just need to take action, and need some good pointers, it's helpful.

Mark on the other hand writes about more complex emotions and such, which other people, including myself, find useful and fascinating.

Tyler has some good moments, but for me it just turns into epiphany addiction. So many concepts, too many for me, really.

Epiphany addiction... Great term. I used to have that big time. For me watching a dvd set on inner game on reading a massive post on social circle was like giving crack to a fiend. I always felt like I'd come away with all this knowledge that was just waiting for the real world opportunity for me to whip it out and use it like a pro.

Now I know to trust people who talk about gradual growth, to not expect too much at once, and to be happy with any change you make. I realized that epiphanies are rare, and if you're relying on them or desperately trying to find them then it's simply a way of avoiding hard work. Slowly uncovering and accepting knowledge is how you truly move forward and grow. And the awesome thing about this all is that rather than being at all depressing it's in fact far more empowering.

I totally had it too! I remember watching the blueprint, and pausing every 15 min just to stare at the screen in awe, feeling like i had finally made sense to everything. Then after walking on clouds for a few days, i would come down, and not having made any changes to my life i would feel awful, so i would watch another seminar and so on..it' soo easy to get hooked on when you think you just need to figure everything out before taking action.

But you're supposed to do it the other way around, or like rob says, 'ready, fire, aim!'

And by Rob, you mean Michael Masterson. Wink

(Sorry, the fact that no one gives credit for where their ideas come from in this industry drives me insane.)

There is some overlap between my stuff and RSD. I think we were both influenced by the same psychological principles, it's just we've interpreted those principles in very different ways.

I enjoy Mark's writing because he doesn't try to insult my intelligence in the process of making a point. He should earn money solely on writing on at least a 2 or 3 grade higher level than anyone else writing dating advice.

A semi-famous business book.

I like Rob as a person and I like much of his content, but he does stuff like that sometimes... and god knows he's not the only one (and not even close to the worst). Say what you want about David D, but he gives credit for where every idea comes from. His seminars are full of stuff like "This is something I got from Tony Robbins" or "I learned this from a book called X."

I try to do it, but probably don't do it enough.

The biggest ephiphany i have about rsd is that their materials are ALL mental masturbation and doesnt really bring any real result in the real world. In fact, realize their materials actually HARM your game before you adopt their belief system, that's when i get BETTER result in real life. Funny how after i got that ephiphany, i STOP getting ephiphanies from rsd HAHA

Brian, you just don't get it, do you? That's THE POINT!! RSD teachings are meant to teach you what you shouldn't care and what you shouldn't do in an indirect way. After some time you actually do understand that nothing in there helps and that it is actually harming your game. Then you get the "Epiphany" (capital letter intended) and you move on to other things but with a better understanding of how you've lost your time and money.

They teach an actual important lesson and after that you become a better man. Big Grin

PD: I agree with stan, but it's just so funny!! Smile
