Does anybody have or know friends that are absolute game-killers? I have a buddy who is. Negative attitude about women, totally refuses to go out in social settings, gives a "are you crazy?" response about approaching women. Other than this, he's a good friend. The bad thing is I feel like he's dragging me down with his attitude when I'm around him -- I'm trying to lose the "shut-in/playing video games" lifestyle, which he lives in.

Besides just not hanging out with him, any thoughts on handling friends like this?

Yeah, when you're out with him just forget about pickup and enjoy the friendship.

I've got a similar friend. Ironically he certainly could use some game just for confidence and self improvement since he's as needy as you can be with women so he always ends up on the friend zone. Thing is, you can't force someone to self improve, the decission and commitment have to come from that person.

So when I'm with other friends I approach, when I'm with him I just relax, talk about whatever and enjoy the evening.

Good advice there - thanks. Yeah, it's going to take him personally wanting to meet women. It's certainly
something I can't mention around him without uncomfortable looks and behavior.

Funny, I have another friend who likes to meet women and is really terrible at it. He derailed me last time
we were out meeting chicks with a horrible line. Thankfully, I rebounded well with a comment the girl liked.

Sometimes I think I'm better going solo... lol
