Kaizen - lifestyle improvement
I'm starting this thread to chronicle my actions to improve my lifestyle in the following areas and ask any questions that I may have in this regard: fitness, wardrobe, developing talent/skills, apartment decor, reading, and such.

Wardrobe:

I got the Style Guide, and finally decided to cleanse my closet of useless clothes. I probably removed a little over 50% of clothes -- unfit, uncomfortable, old, disliked, and winter clothes from when I lived in cold area. My closet looks clean, lean, and helps me focus on the items I need to purchase.

Talent:

I want to learn a dance properly so that I can also use it to meet girls and have awesome dates that include dancing. Which dance should I learn first to get the maximum bang for my buck -- a dance which I will have the maximum opportunity to use to my advantage in attracting girls?

Also, not being able to shake it in the club next to a hot girl makes me sad :-( Anybody has any guidelines/links to learn some basic moves for a nightclub? Currently my moves are very jerky and looks more like break dance. I want to be like those guys who can dance smoothly close to a girl in a nightclub, then the girl teases him a little bit by moving away or something, then next thing you know they're way too close and sometimes grinding. Some basic tips to start with so that I know what I'm doing at a club - advance knowledge is always welcome too.

Do what you want to do and what you enjoy most, you won't attract many girls when you dance to music you don't enjoy.

I can only tell you my story. When I was 15 years old, a friend of mine persuaded me to do a dancing class, we learnt Ballroom dance. It was Discofox, Waltz, Vienna Waltzes, Chachachá, Jive, Tango, Rumba and Foxtrott .
As I was always passionate about Latin Music, especially from Cuba, I enjoyed Chachacha the most, because the music just made me want to dance, while Discofox or Waltz didn't move me at all. Next month I'm finally starting to learn Salsa, because I love the music! I just makes me wanna dance. So just try out different things and figure out what is most fun for you.

Actually, I'm not the person who can give you advice on that, because I never managed to dance with a girl in a club yet. So take my words with caution.
Regarding the dance moves, I'd say you don't need them. Just move your body with the music. I'm never impressed, when a guy pulls some cool moves in a nightclub, I feel it's not the right place to show off your dancing skills.
And when it comes to dancing with a girl, I think it all comes down to confidence an non-neediness. I'm currently working on that, I always was the nice guy who didn't want to molest the girls. Now I'm trying to desensitze me and get some rejections to become less needy. I just go to girls and try to dance with them, and I know they gonna reject me cause I'm needy, and it's fucking hard to overcome my fear, because it is really awkward. But this is the pain period, and even if I'm rejected and it hurts, I'm also kind of happy because I did what I wanted to do. I don't know if it helps, but I can't think of anything else.

RE: Kaizen - lifestyle improvement
I learned how to dance from Ethiopians and gay friends back in college. All their advice was pretty much the same: Dance from your hips.

Most guys are terrified to move their hips when they dance, and that's what makes them look jerky and awkward.

If your hips are "leading" your moves almost anything you do will look good as long as you can follow the beat.
