I Hate Jobs
I don't know what to do with my life right now.

I'm 25 and have been studying really hard in an arts field (which means most likely not much money in the long run)

I haven't completed a degree. Even if I did, I would never want a 'normal' career in an office or anything like that.

Basically it seems that I'm not interested in anything. I don't understand having to spend most of your life being unhappy and then getting old. I just don't get it.

It seems like degrees are getting more and more useless and that trades are much more in demand. I don't think I'd be interested in them though either.

The only thing I can think of that might interest me is being a bartender but even that seems hard to get into.

Well actually I think I'd much rather just not have to do anything and just travel and have fun.

I'm pretty sure most people don't enjoy their careers. I don't get it. Anyway, I know this is a ridiculous post but I feel really stuck and have no idea what to do.

I don't know if it's from my upbringing or from the pickup world brainwashing but I feel like there's nothing more fun than dating/meeting girls/socializing.

If a guy is a recluse engineer/office worker etc, he's probably not actually satisfied. I know lots of lawyers/businessmen pay for escorts. So basically everything we do is for meeting women. Why would anyone waste decades of their life to make money so that they might one day meet a woman and then get old?

I'm pretty sure it's not that hard to get into bar-tending.

But I get what you're saying. I'm soon to be 24, have a degree, but still have no idea what I want to do with my life.

RE: I Hate Jobs
How about having a goo job that pays well. You have a good health insurance, you can buy a house, if you have kids you can give them a good education and send them to college, etc, etc. You are pretty young but as you get older you prioritize other subjects in your life totally diferent than sex. I don't see how having a good job an earning a good amount of money can interfere with meeting women. If you have a decent job, a regular schedule, making a good amount of money you can dedicate your free time to meet women. And as women get older they look for stability, that means a guy can provide for his family, if you have a good job you can be a good provider. Think about it. USUALLY women at 25 start to think about getting married and having kids, they want a guy with a good job, as they get older they get even more annoying about the provider thing. USUALLY a woman in her 30s or older just want 2 things: kids and a house, she wants stability. Their tests are totally diferent compared to young girls, some of their tests are directed to see if you can rise a family with her, if you are educated, can provide, etc, etc. You are close to turn 30 so I'd think about it.
If you are a bartender your schedule is gonna suck you have to work at night, during friday and the weekends (when you can make more money), even during the holydays. So while people are socializing you are gonna have to work, the money is not that great, depending where you work you are not gonna have a good health insurance or not heath insurance at all. As you get older you do't want to work night shifts, dealing with drunk people, fights, etc.
You have to start to plan about your future NOW, you don't necesarily need a degree but you have to make money to pay the bills and have a decent life.

RE: I Hate Jobs
Take a sabbetical!! That's what I do and its my best year ever.
You're running away from yourself to the shallow values of society from the moment you're in the "system" at age 3 when you need to go to school till you're 65 years old and wasted the best years of your life.
But when you take a sabbetical, it's impossible to run away, you need to face yourself.

Life is the hardest teacher: the tests are given and the lessons are taught after. But life is also a kind teacher, as it gives the same tests again in the future.
