I've been stuck at home with a flu and I decided to give this series a try, instead of doing something more productive. I'm already on Episode 20 (S1).
Before I saw it, all I knew was of Barney's awesomeness. The man is "da playa", he's got game. He picks up chicks without much problem. All those internet memes going around a while back, I though I had to check it out. But he's just a fake alpha, lonely and needy who can't make himself vulnerable. Ted is the real man, although he does have any some nice guy mindsets. If he didn't have them he wouldn't be credible and perhaps the series wouldn't appeal so much (you know, it's the flaws..)
When I saw episode 15 I was chuckling so hard. It so caricatures so many guys in the community. I do not want to spoil it to you but it involves a happy hippie dude who once upon a time wanted to save the Nicaraguans
