Fraternity/Greek Life decision to make, your input?
Alright, so I have a decision to make which concerns fraternity matters and here is a quick background and WHY it is difficult.

So I have met with a few of my friends and kinda told them I will consider rushing. Well, issue with the fraternity is

1. I really do not plan on staying at the college I am at right now and next semester might be my last here, MIGHT be my last here. Problem is, the fraternity I am joining is not available at the college I am going to transfer to. They got banned and kicked out or something.

2. Even though four people in it are my REALLY GOOD friends, there are already some people in there I do not see myself getting along with and some things they want to pressure me into doing that I cannot do (get drunk etc.)

3. My professor who was in it long ago told me he was the only one of his "brothers" to actually finish college. Scary though, I know it won't be the case when I join because there are a lot of 4.0 kids in there.

Here is why I really think I should join though

1. Told people in it I would rush this summer

2. College I am transferring to is an SEC school, and a lot of people tell me it does not have a good reputation with greek life and those wanting to join but do not know anybody

3. Would give me a lot of outlets to meeting girls and such this summer and will help me in such aspects

Give your input, what do you say?

Just do it. What's the worst that could happen?

NEVER ask that again, seriously, that is like a bad omen.

Eitherways, well if I join then that means I cannot join another fraternity when I transfer colleges and they do not have this specific fraternity at the college I want to transfer to.

Just do it, like the tshirt says. You can join any fraternity you like. Not drinking though, will be much harder. What's the worst thing that can happen?

Well, it doesn't sound like you are so keen on joining a frat per se, but you mostly have reasons to join this one - so I would say join this frat.

If what you say is true, and this frat= meeting girls, plus your friends are in it, then what reason is there not to join?

yeah, a frat with good parties, four of your close friends, and a bunch of really smart people with good grades sounds like the best possible social environment in college. Im not wild about frats in general but that particular situation sounds awesome.

You remember my post about double penetrating a fat chick...

Anyways, I would do it. I kinda regret not going Greek in college, many of my friends did it and not one of them had a negative experience.

Haha, whenever someone says that on tv, the world like falls apart afterwards.

do you think you'd really just want to join a random frat? You are looking too hard for a worst case scenario I think.
