Apologies in advance to the moderators if I placed this question in the wrong part of the forum. This is something I just find very hard to discuss with people I know in fact I am really embarrased about it.

I appreciate that the head of the penis is sensitive but mine is very sensitivewhen I roll back the foreskin. Did some research on the internet and one person talks about how everyday when you go for a shower you should roll back the foreskin and wash the head of the penis then roll it back. By doing this everyday it desensitizes the head.

I paid an escort a few weeks back and she said I should get circumized. Wasnt sure what to believe. Can anyone give me some advice on how to deal with this ? How can I make it less sensitive ?

By the way I am not proud of paying for sex it just I dont have girlfriend right now but I am working on this area of my life.

I am not circumcised, but I don't have a problem rolling it back. It rolls itself back when I'm with a girl. I have a friend who has trouble, because of extra skin, so yeah you might consider getting circumcised.

Hi Oldguy,

i'm a physician but no urologist or dermatologist so you might want to see your GP about this regardless if it keeps giving you grief. What I can tell you is the most common pressing indication for a circumcision is a phimosis which is.. like a stricture of the foreskin limiting the bloodflow to the glans. But that doesn't sound like what you're describing. Apart from that any kind of irritation or infection should at least be attempted to be treated before involving surgery. I assume when you say it's sensitive you mean it's sore and hurts when you move or are walking?

As part of your personal hygiene you should pull back the foreskin and wash the head of your penis regularly if you're not circumcised. My mum always had jewish boyfriends so I got the chop but I know that say Boots has personal hygiene lotions that are soapfree which probably work a charm for washing down there (no burning). Much like what women use. Washing regularly will take away some of the over-sensitivity, that's sound advice. Now, if you're having some kind of discharge...burning sensation..puss or stricture you do need to go and have a physician take a lot at it and swab it. This could mean have an infection that requires more than an over the counter solutions.

Sexyback thanks for taking the time to respond to my question. Unfortunately coming from a traditional family I was never told any of these things till recently.

The head of my penis does not hurt when I am walking around. But when I roll back the foreskin, (the last few days I have have been regularly rolling back the foreskin when in the shower to wash the penis - this is the first time I have done this in 45 years !) it it sensitive to touch on the head.

Once its hard and the condom is on its not so sensitive. I have checked for any bruising or immflammation on the head all seems fine.

I will checkout Boots for the personal hygiene lotions that your recommended. Do you have a particular product name that you can recommend ?

Then I suggest you don't read it. From today's article:

I was referring to his extremely inappropriate title, not to the fact that he may have contracted something or whatever. If he is very embarrassed to talked about these things as he says, he can do us all a favor and keep his title a little less graphic.

OldGuy, never followed up on this... no, I know any particular brands, but something soapfree and hypoallergenic should do.

I totally concur with. I also believe that sex before marriage is disgusting, making out with your girlfriend and having sex in a public place is also disgusting behaviour.

Although a more subtle title is good, since this is not a medical or sex forum. After thinking about it more, I guess there are better forums for this sort of questions, forums made for these questions. But I really don't care if you talk about your penis. If this is an issue for you, good on you that you ask for help.

Can't say I can really help as I had my foreskin removed against my will as a defenseless infant. However, I will say nature made our bodies the way the are for a reason. If it isn't an issue for sex and doesn't cause problems except for when you pull it back, then I don't see what the issue is? But if it is causing you this much distress, try to figure a less invasive way fix it.

I think you best bet is to give us the most accurate description of the sensitivity. I know the glans of my penis is most sensitive right after climax from intercourse. Is this the type of sensitivity you are talking about?
