Beautifulpeople.com, anyone else tried it or heard of it?
basically it is a dating site for attractive people, in order to get in, you have to submit your profile with a picture and members of the opposite sex vote you in on the following four categories:

Beautiful
Hmm OK
No
Absolutely not

tried to get in at first, was doing well with the Hmmm ok but got voted out within 10 hours, deleted account. Tried again with the pic I showed to chaos and others, voted out instantly. Talk about a hurt self esteem lol.

Anyways, any of you tried it? I have had a friend who tried it and he manages to date a good looking woman every month

Do you really want to be a part of a community defined primarily by physical attractiveness?

There are plenty of attractive women on other dating sites if you are trying to get into online dating.

I am there. While I might get my ego boosted by some girls liking my picture (mind I went to a professional photgrapher for a photo session), the site offers very little - even chat is paid. If you are cutting to get to that site, you will be quite disappointed ;-)

I can't get voted in for crap. My pics are always come out bad. Like usually I take mirror photos but this is the one I had someone else take. It was rushed but I am starting to think it is more genetics than anything else now:

Yeah,it's also an ugly photo, no offense.
Where's your smile?!
Why is there a plant behind you??
What an ugly tie are you wearing?? Go for a plain color.

Make sure that the photo is telling something about your personality, take a picture when you're playing your hobby or when you cook (women loves guys that can cook),...

Remember, the devil is in the details.

But I share the opinion of CHB2, it's just superficial.

you need a better haircut, and the knot on your tie looks bad. Those are cool glasses but take them off for the photo.

This is how a tie should be knotted

In the picture you look like you're about to be executed.

RE: Beautifulpeople.com, anyone else tried it or heard of it?
Reesays, you look like a nice kid, but you look like you'd be a perfect candidate for one of those shows where you get made over by a sassy gay friend. I suppose I can do my best to approximate this.

**CUE GAY MAN VOICE**

Honey, first of all, your face is not the issue.

Sassy gay partner chimes in: Mmm hmm I like his bone structure.

But nothing in your photo pops out as fresh. First, the sportcoat just looks so... flat on you. Get those shoulders up, don't slump, you're a handsome man. And get that damn thing tailored! This ain't no Men's Wearhouse off the rack!

Sassy gay partner: I don't like the way that looks, I guarantee it!

My man Jon is right about the tie, you need to go a wider knot. And that pattern is so... insurance salesman-y. Believe me, I know, that's how my ass gets the bills paid.

But honey, your most egregious style violation here is that haircut. Get it trimmed up, put some product in it, liven it up! Cool guy haircut, not I just woke up late for my 10 AM Electric Engineering lecture haircut. You'd really benefit from a cut that adds some texture to your hair. Do you have a stylist that you trust?

Also, your glasses could be a bit hipper, but that's neither here nor there.

Reesays, you are so close to getting that sexy back and I know it. I know my sassy gay man advice won't turn things around instantly, but baby steps, baby.

END GAY MAN VOICE

**Snaps fingers**

I remember when Miscers made fake profiles with photos of Zyzz and Plitt and other fitness models/buff guys, and hardly any got in. If you're looking at this as an objective measure of your attractiveness, you are deluded. The site is just a way for bored females to amuse themselves and give themselves a power trip.

because the ZYZZ photo is so overused throughout the internet, women knew it was a fake

RE: Beautifulpeople.com, anyone else tried it or heard of it?
Ok. Here is what I would do if I were you and I wanted to get on a site like that.

First and foremost, I would focus on putting together a few nice looks. I would have a few friends help critique them. Maybe post pictures here or on Reddit here http://www.reddit.com/r/malefashionadvice/ because they actually do a great job.

Second find a friend with a camera that takes nice pictures. Maybe you know a photographer. I don't know. Just find someone who knows what they are doing.

Then either take a few pictures of yourself in these nice outfits or wear those nice outfits out often (you should anyway right?) and get a few candids taken of you.

Post these pictures to sites like http://hotornot.com/ or the Reddit /r/ link or here to get more feedback. Find out what the best ones are. OKcupid.com actually allows you to opt in if you rate enough pictures to get your pictures rated. Hell, make a few a or b things and ask your friends which pictures they think make you look the best if you want.

Figure out what pictures represent you best and then use them for your online dating. Obviously keep these pictures of your genuine self and don't try and hide who you are with them.

Hope this helps.

Hmm seen the picture, this is in your head, and your style mate. You need a haircut ...any cut, asap. Nothing wrong with your genetics at all, You could easily be an 8 on a dude scale. You look like an uber dork right now. Suit and shirt look like one size off, not the perfect fit. You need some style input. Which will require some money. Don't you know any girls or guys even that dress really well, go shopping with them and get their advice.

After seeing your picture I really think you should be doing quite well with the ladies if you make the most of what you have. I read your approaching journal and I'm surprised youre getting so much rejection. I guess its down to behaving like a dork.

thanks, that is my biggest weakness, lack of pictures, most of my pictures are either

1. mirror shots (bad idea)
2. taken by bad and crappy photographers who cannot hold the camera straight to save their lives

here's priority number 1.

Get a better haircut.

Go take at least $50 and find somebody who charges that to cut your hair. Then tell them you want something cool.

I'm sure you see where the problem lies in that considering you are applying to a site that primarily is judging you on how your pictures look.

Good luck working on it, keep us updated =)

because the ZYZZ photo is so overused throughout the internet, women knew it was a fake

I think the medium is terribly corrupted. I have seen people running loops of Zyzz dancing on Omegle and some girls didn't seem turned on at all. Of course not everybody would be attracted to Zyzz, but even he as a super fit guy got virtually rejected. You have to consider the medium. Girls can be as unfazed about male handsomeness online as men can be about female beauty. They can find thousands of pictures of attractive people. It's like that chaser effect described on yourbrainonporn.

If beauty need be validated, a subject that is extremely subjective, I think off-handed comments and compliments are more reliable than anonymous opinions. I heard an off-handed comment the other day from a friend that I was taken back, in a good way.

I saw your photo. You have potential. Could you post how you look with your new haircut? And I recommend you get contact lenses as well, if you can.

EDIT: And here's the video if you are curious:

ZYZZ would normally be accepted, but you FAIL to understand that he was rejected because his pic is overused online to the point women can point out that the member is a fake profile.

I knew what you were saying in that regard. It is pretty obvious considering his popularity among the misc and such. I was just adding on to the comments here that there is little to no validity in sites that rate the attractiveness of people. I'm sorry if the message was muddled, but I wasn't refuting your point. It's a valid one.

By the way, I think we can all agree that bold > caps. I was like, "Whoah Nelly." when I saw the word "fail" capitalized until I saw that Zyzz was capitalized as well.

I think other guys are more attracted to Zyzz than girls are.

Men always assume that women find the same things attractive that we do (i.e., physical proportions, etc.). Can't tell you how many girls I've met who are grossed out by guys with big muscles.
