Approaching women in another country

Question...

When you guys visit a country where most people have basic grasp of english, do you just approach them direct like, "I saw you walking by, I thought you are really cute/attractive, and I had to come over and meet you?"

If you have done direct approaches in a foreign country, can you share your experience?

Any adjustments I need to make?

I'll probably do both approaches - direct and situational (asking for pictures to be taken, directions

Keep the conversion very basic. I personally dont use any C&F with girls who speak very basic english as it falls flat. Focus more on gestures give her a big smile when you approach her

"excuse me...you look very beautiful I just had to come and talk to you"

Then focus on basic rapport like "where are you from"

When you go to a foreign country and chat to women you will always be seen as a novelty and the conversation will probably end up centred around who you here and why you here.

I agree with everything Thor said. I was in Munich a few months back and my opener was "Hallo! Sprechen sie englisch?". From that point, as Thor said, the convo quickly became about me and why I was there etc.

It was amazing to me how little verbal communication mattered. I went out in area where few tourists go so there were few fluent English speakers. Being expressive, physical and keeping verbal communication very basic gets you a long way.

I just made a few approaches. It's definitely more psychological. Back home, the opener just flows out of my mouth where I feel more spontaneous. Here I have to recite, "Do you speak english?" in my head before I approach. That one extra thought definitely made me hesitate more and miss out on a lot of opportunities.

Also I lose my focus. I can easily convince myself that I am here to sight see, not to meet girls. Back home where I go to the same place, this excuse is obviously not valid.

So far the few girls I talked to are all friendly, and I learned a lot about the city.
