Another date/day2 question
I swear I will figure this out...but in the meantime, amateur question:

Later this week, I have a date at a cocktail lounge for the early evening (7:30ish). Do I assume that the girl will have eaten dinner, or what?

I read the day2 ideas thread and it makes sense not to be eating full-on entrees.

My idea is to get a couple drinks, watch the sunset (coz the view is great), then walk around (I think we both live close by) and see where it goes.

But I also don't want her to be hungry. I suppose I could find out if there's any snack/food places in the area where we can chow later, if necessary.

Is this right? Any other ideas?

RE: Another date/day2 question
Pretty sure it is her responsibility to eat. That being said just find a bar that serves appetizers or something. You could also always ask her if she is hungry later on in the night. I do not think this is a big issue.

Thanks Creatine!

I also just read over the Perfect Date section in Models, and it's quite helpful - though according to the book, it seems like I only chose the 2nd-best day for the date, haha.

Must. Optimize. Next time.

RE: Another date/day2 question
I cannot tell you how many dates I have been on where the guy will ask me out for drinks (to where I go ahead and eat before hand) and then when we get to where ever it is we are going, he will ask if I want to eat or if I am hungry. And even more often than that, he will say he didn't eat and is going to order something. This always makes me feel awkward and actually puts the girl in a tough spot because we don't want to be presumptuous that the guy is going to buy us dinner, but also we don't want the awkwardness of one person eating while the other does not. This happened to me over and over, and I know I am not the only girl this keeps happening to. This actually got so annoying that I started clarifying to these dudes that I was going to get something to eat pre-date.

Oh and just from an inside perspective, most girls will not say if they are really hungry or not. Girls are weird with eating on dates or saying if they are hungry, take my word for it.

If you ask her for drinks, it really is her responsibility to make sure she has food in her belly but she might be a dimwit, I don't know, so it's better to clarify before the date. And for the future, make your plans a little later so they don't coincide with normal dinner time, like 8:30 and on wards.. just so the girl won't assume that dinner is included- because some girls will.
