Lust seems like it is similar to hunger. It is there and if you are satiated it goes away.

Regarding passion, it is probably the most amazing thing I have ever felt. But it can leave pretty fast and it almost seems like you are withdrawing from a drug.

I have never experienced commitment so no sense in commenting on that. But it does seem a lot more stable than passion and probably something that you would want in a long term relationship.


Also, the link between serotonin and love is really interesting.

It seems that people that are in love actually have low serotonin levels equivalent to people who are obsessive compulsive.

This creates a bind for people who are depressed. Seek treatment with anti-depressants and forego that strong feeling of love or ride out the emotional rollercoaster and remain receptive to love.
